Little Amaura

How did I end up here? That’s a question I ask myself often… My memories are a bit fuzzy but here’s what I remember:

I remember I was swimming around with my mommy… I felt so happy and I was laughing a lot. She showed me amazing places underwater like luminous caves and ice crystals. Not long after that, when we were returning home, I saw a shiny thing. It was so shiny I wanted to have it and give it to my mommy because it looked like a star and she liked them very much. But when I was about to catch the star I got trapped in water. I remember crying for help and she was calling me too. I tried to swim with all the strength I had but it wasn’t enough and I ended up very deep in water. I was really tired and couldn’t swim up again, and the water was very very cold. I thought that maybe if I slept for a while I’ll feel better and would be able to meet her again. So I fell asleep.

When I woke up I remember hearing weird sounds, and I wasn’t underwater anymore… “Maybe mommy found me and took me up again?” I thought. But then I saw a creature… a person (she used to call them like that) with white clothes. He stared at me for a while and then he told me: “Welcome back to life my little friend”. “Back to life?” I didn’t understand what he meant, and I had a lot of questions… Where was my mommy? Where was I? What happened to me? Then another person came. This one was a female. She reminded me a bit like mom, mostly because of the way she was smiling. Mommy… I started crying. I wanted her back; I wanted her to hug me, to tell me that everything will be fine. Suddenly the girl hugged me gently. “Everything will be alright” she told me. She was warm and gentle… like her... I stopped crying and looked at her with a small smile. Then she asked me if I wanted to come with her in her adventure and I nodded. Maybe I can find her that way… and maybe I can find a star and give it to her too.
